Occupational Health and Safety Act

Sections 4-6 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (ArbSchG) obliges companies to systematically assess psychological stress at work. The aim is to identify risks at an early stage and to sustainably protect and promote the health and safety of employees through targeted measures.

Accident prevention regulation

The DGUV rule 100-001 mentions psychological stress factors in the workplace in accordance with § 3. These include unstructured tasks, inefficient processes, social tensions and unfavorable work environments.

Joint German Occupational Health and Safety Strategy

The GDA Guideline “Risk Assessment and Documentation” sets out clear steps, including the definition of work areas and activities, the identification and assessment of potential risks, the definition of occupational safety measures, their implementation and review, and the regular update of the assessment.
