The GDA Psyche Work Programme is a central part of the Joint German Occupational Safety Strategy (GDA), supported by federal, state and accident insurance institutions. The aim of the program is to ensure and standardize the quality of the risk assessment of psychological stress (GBU Psyche) in German companies. It provides the methodological guidelines according to which supervisory authorities and professional associations assess the legal compliance of a company in accordance with Sections 5 and 6 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (ArbSchG).
The GDA guidelines represent the “state of the art” in German occupational safety. A key point is the requirement that a GBU psyche must not stop at a purely quantitative survey. The guidelines require an expert assessment of the identified risks and an in-depth Work situation analysis. Statistics show that the majority of risk assessments carried out in Germany are classified as “incomplete” in an official audit because the bridge between data collection and specific action derivation is missing or the effectiveness test has not been documented.
Companies that ignore the GDA Psyche work program or only implement it superficially are exposed to considerable liability risks. In the case of mental illnesses (such as burnout) due to working conditions, employers must prove that they have gone through the full GDA cycle. If this proof is missing, there is a risk of not only fines from the trade inspectorate, but also claims for recourse from social security institutions. In addition, poor implementation means that psychosocial risks remain undetected, which capital efficiency massively weakened due to high absenteeism and fluctuation.
While conventional providers often only cover the survey phase and leave companies alone in the complex qualitative work situation analysis, mentalport forms the GDA Psyche work programme in a closed digital workflow. Our infrastructure is optimized to meet the load optimization required by GDA through automated action management to be implemented directly at employee level. We integrate the qualitative analysis of working conditions so efficiently that the process 15 times faster Expired as with analogous processes. As a result, companies not only achieve a Cost savings of up to 90%, but receive audit-proof documentation that meets the strict requirements of the GDA and ISO 45003 withstands any time.
Mental health has a direct impact on corporate success. Mental health problems are currently in 3rd place among the Germany-wide reasons for sick leave and have the strongest growth rate. Companies lose like this 9,000 €/year and employee.
